Hikari is our most popular version of Yakisugi.
Burned to a depth of 2-3mm Hikari is then left for a couple of days to cool and stabilise.

Soon after the char is well brushed to reveal the beautiful figuring of the timber before our Deep Dark Night coating is applied. This is no ordinary oil coating but a system that was developed specifically for charred timber.

Hikari really does add drama to any project inside or out.
